About Georgie Baskerville
I am a Norfolk artist living in the small village of Brockdish in the Waveney Valley. I am a farmer’s daughter a true country girl. I love going for long walks down to the river, around the fields and in the woods that surround our barn conversion, my little Norfolk terrier ‘Toby’ as company, this is not only for peace and quiet being a married mother of four!, but also provides inspiration.
I have always had a passion for colour, drawing and painting, I feel the constant need to capture moments and images using a camera or sketchbook. I trained at West Suffolk College in general art and design, then on to Loughborough University to gain a degree in printed textile design in 2005. I worked as a freelance textile designer for a while but settled into painting from my studio at home as it suits better to family life.
I have been lucky enough to have featured in ‘The shooting Gazette’, the ‘Suffolk Norfolk Life magazine’ and ‘Vogue’. My work is sold in selected places in Norfolk and Suffolk.
I don’t produce prints of my work just cards, no two paintings are ever the same, and to purchase a piece of my work is something truly unique for your home.
